Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What water temperature do fish require?
A:  Most fish, both fresh and saltwater, are comfortable in water between 72 and 78 F.  Water temperatures above 84 F can result in low oxygen levels, increased metabolism and death.

Q:  Which is better, canned or dry dog food?
A:
Dry dog food is better for your pet because it helps remove tartar from their teeth and offers more nutrients than canned food.

Q:  Can I use a dog flea collar on my cat?
A:
Never use a product that is intended solely for dogs on your cat.  Some products can be used on both types of animals, so be sure to read the label carefully before using it.

Q:  How should I store bird food?
A:
The refrigerator is a good place to store bird food.  Seeds and pellets last longer if they are kept in a cool, dry environment.

Q:  Do I need identification for my pet?
A:  All pets should wear collars with identification at all times.  If your pet becomes lost, this identification may help someone return them to you.
